A Fresh Take on Classic Style with Designer Amanda Reynal
Meet Amanda
After attending the New York School of Interior Design, Amanda Reynal began her career at Cullman & Kravis in New York. She founded her firm in Des Moines, Iowa, in 2001 and quickly rose to become a sought-after designer whose work is routinely featured in House Beautiful, Traditional Home, Better Homes & Gardens, and the New York Times. She is known for designing joyful, livable spaces that incorporate fine art and contemporary details. She divides her time between Des Moines, the Catskills, and Palm Beach. Beloved for her fresh designs, Amanda is as popular as she is unique. Her down-to-earth clients are passionate about making their homes stylish, but they also want interiors that favor comfort over formality and the furniture’s provenance. Reynal’s artful approach creates spaces brimming with intriguing and clever furnishings, richly patterned surfaces, and lots (and LOTS) of color.
The icing on top of the cake for this nursery? The Lola Dresser in a bright and happy sunshine shade of yellow. With our custom color program, simply choose your piece, pick your paint color and delight in your dream design!
Every color story needs one neutral! The Ming Grasscloth Chest offers a chic side of style and storage, featuring gorgeous natural grasscloth, brass ring pulls, and playful Chow-style feet.
Wall-to-wall latticework, floor-to-ceiling drapes, and a show-stopping chandelier set the tone for this bright and airy dining room. The art and hostess chairs at the head of the table add the perfect pop of color, while the Raleigh Armchairs provide a natural element, a beautiful caning that visually ties back to the treillage walls and ceiling.
Happy hour, anyone? Our Sedgewick Bar Cart is always ready to entertain. On casters so you can easily roll the party from room to room!
Color Crush
Interior Designer Amanda Reynal’s latest book, Designing Rooms with Joie de Vivre, is a celebration of color, a focus on pretty rooms that dazzle and small details that make a big, joyful difference. We’re here to highlight the cheerful pages we keep flipping back to.
Our Austen Swivel Rocker Glider in Les Touches Petal fabric with green contrast piping was meant for this vivacious nursery. Combining the comfort of a swivel rocker glider with the sophistication of a tailored curved wing back, the Austen's notched arms provide extra support so you can truly sit back and relax. Did we mention the ceiling is wrapped in this same designer-favorite print? Don't forget to look up! Also available for purchase by the yard.
"I love Society Social because they offer such a diverse color range for customizing furniture. The pieces have great proportions and work well in so many different spaces."
- Amanda
Congratulations, Amanda, on your beautiful book! A must have for every bookshelf! We are truly delighted to be included.
