Quiet Moments: Early November
I've been taking my (very happy) dog for many afternoon walks lately, as my power has yet to be restored from last week's hurricane. I've been loving how the air is so crisp - and yes, cold- but also how the smell of dried leaves and wood smoke make it feel officially like November. I love this time of the year, as you have all the excitement of the upcoming holiday season to look forward to. Here's what's on my list this month.
One: Pull out your favorite cozy blanket, and plot how to spend as much time under it as possible.
Two: As long as you're sitting under that blanket, you might as well cozy up to a pile of books! If you haven't read it, I'd highly recommend Where'd You Go Bernadette?
Three: Spruce up your surroundings. I think it's the change of seasons, and realizing that I'm going to be spending a lot more time indoors, but I've recently felt the need to give my room a quick update, with new paint and all.
Four: Rediscover why you love hot chocolate so much. This lavender version looks scrumptious.
Five: Search through old cookbooks and new cooking magazines for Thanksgiving recipes and more.
