Sarah Bray spent the majority of her career as a writer and editor in New York City, penning for critically acclaimed publications including House Beautiful, ELLE Decor, Veranda, Town & Country, Beach and more. After over a decade in NYC, Sarah moved to Bermuda to take some time off and realign her career values. Sarah's love for beautiful things (fashion, decor and art history), combined with a desire to create a more eco-friendly and ethical career, became the catalyst for Sarah Bray Bermuda.
Sarah Bray Bermuda is dedicated to eliminating wasteful goods and promoting an inspirational shopping experience, with products made from antique, vintage, recycled and biodegradable materials. Any products requiring additional crafting, are executed by local artisans within her home state of Texas and new home in Bermuda. While Sarah does not think calling a non-essential brand "sustainable" is possible, she is committed to trying to be as sustainable as possible. This is why her original fashion concept centers around biodegradable sun hats, woven from sea grass and palm leaf, topped with vintage floral ribbons and made-in-USA grosgrain.
Sarah has always been extremely supportive of our brand and would often visit our studio back in the day when we were located on Spring Street in NYC. We are grateful for her support over the years and we were absolutely thrilled when the opportunity for a collaboration presented itself, as it was a natural and exciting partnership! We are excited to have Sarah in our flagship on Thursday, June 24th to launch the Society Social x Sarah Bray Bermuda Sun Hat and to showcase her beautiful products that are dedicated to making the world a better place!
