Drinks With Roxy: Southern Sweet Tea Bourbon
Alan's drink of choice is a smooth bourbon. I like to mix mine with Sweet Tea! We’re excited to fill this Father's Day Weekend with his favorite things which means a lot of porch time (Alan loves our new blue hued Martha Chairs!), pizza and a drink or two ;). To celebrate, I’ve mixed up a Southern Sweet Tea Bourbon which is quick and easy to whip up and also perfect for a crowd if you plan on hosting this weekend, just make a full pitcher!

What we love about this recipe is that the type of tea you use is up to you! You can keep it simple with a standard black tea or give it a twist with adding a bit of flavor. My personal favorite flavored teas include Peaches & Ginger and Blood Orange. SHOP ALL TEAS >
1 Large Pitcher (Serves 6-8)
Ingredients:
3 cups of water
1/2 cup sugar
2 or 3 tea bags (choose your flavor!)
1 lemon, sliced into wedges
1 cup of bourbon
Lemon for garnish
Combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolves. Pour the sugar water into a jar or pitcher, add your tea bags and let steep for at least 10 minutes. You can absolutely leave the tea bags in for longer depending on how strong you want your tea! Once stepped, remove the tea bags and add the lemon wedges. Pour in the bourbon. Cover the jar and chill in the fridge. Serve in your favorite lowball glass and garnish with a lemon wheel.
Cheers, Alan Dale! Couldn't have dreamt up this life without you! Wishing you all a wonderful Father's Day!
