Meet Diana and her Palm Beach preppy CT farmhouse! We recently took a visit to the beautiful town of New Canaan to see how Diana made SS her own! Diana proves that sunny Florida style can live anywhere... Even in an 1820's farmhouse!  Scroll through for the full home tour and a few before & after photos!
We're so happy to be a part of your home! What drew you to Society Social?
I love Society Social’s modern and colorful take on traditional pieces. It meshes with my style perfectly and is also affordable.
How did you find your current place? What were you looking for in a home?
We found our current home after searching in New Canaan for about 6 months. We were looking for an antique with a great yard and the pool was a plus! We fell in love with the wide planked hardwood floors and exposed beams in the ceiling in the oldest part of the house.
When did your love for color begin? Have you always enjoyed decorating?
I’ve always loved color, but my love for decorating began about 5 years ago when we moved into our previous home in Bedford, NY. I saw it as a blank canvas that I had a lot of fun with. I started with painting the main living space my favorite color, turquoise, and began adding lots of blue and white pieces from there.
We'd like to think of this turquoise as Diana's signature color! It's traveled with her with each move!
What advice would you give someone who is nervous about adding color to their home?
Go for it! If you're nervous, start introducing color into the space in the form of a small accessory like a fun decorative tray! You can always add different shades of the same color in accent pieces around the room.
We love Diana's pops of pink!

Which room in your house was the biggest transformation?
Our powder room room was the biggest transformation. Our kitchen and family room had great make overs as well. The before and afters are great!
