What does COM stand for?
In the design world, COM stands for Customer's Own Material. At Society Social, we like to call it Create (your) Own Magic.
How does pricing work?
All COM orders are priced at our most affordable price point, Grade A. To view COM pricing for a particular product, head to the respective product page and click on the COM tab.
How do I know how much yardage is needed?
Our team is here to help! Follow the steps below to submit a yardage request. Our team will review your fabric details to provide a yardage quote for your style selection!
Am I responsible for purchasing my fabric?
Yes! We do not up-charge for COM orders, however, you are responsible for purchasing the yardage required and mailing it to our team.
How do I place a COM order?

Simply select your furniture style. Click "Start A COM Project" below to browse our collection of designs that support COM.

Found a fabric you love? Submit a yardage request. On the product page of the style you're interested in, click the COM tab and complete the yardage request form. You will receive an email with your yardage requirements and unique quote number within 24-48 hours.

Once you receive your yardage quote from us, return to the product page of the style you’re interested in, click the COM tab, enter your unique quote number, and place your order. We’ll send you shipping instructions once we receive your order.

Leave the rest to us. Soon your unique, one-of-a-kind custom piece will arrive to your home for you to style and enjoy. We can’t wait to see what you create!

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens with leftover COM yardage?
We do our best to give you an accurate quote of just how much fabric we'll need for your project so that you're not purchasing any extraneous material. You are welcome to request that any extra be sent back with your order!
What if I am considering more than one fabric?
You can request multiple quotes if you have more than one fabric you're considering! Simply submit your first yardage request and then return to the product page to submit a second. We kindly ask for 1 yardage request submission per fabric.
Is my yardage quote gauranteed?
As your fabric is not a part of our standard line and we likely have not created a piece with your exact fabric and style pairing, the quote provided is our best estimate without having the fabric on hand to test with the furniture pattern. If additional yardage is needed, this will be the responsibility of the customer to provide.
